JIM MABIE 1935-2021
Chicago Capital is saddened by the passing of our founder and Chairman, Jim Mabie. Jim began his investment career at AG Becker, joining his father, Bill, and brother John. He brought his talent to William Blair in 1983, where he was joined by son, David. In 2018, Jim decided it was time for a new project and started Chi-Cap. When asked by his peers why he would launch a start-up at age 82, Jim would simply reply "You would love it, it's never too late". Jim loved Chicago
