JIM MABIE HONORED BY WTTW TV AND WFMT RADIO

Chicago Capital is pleased to announce that Jim Mabie was honored by WTTW Television and WFMT Radio at the annual gala, Your Front Row Seat.

Jim was honored for his civic leadership and advocacy of the arts in Chicago. Jim has been an extraordinary leader, serving on the WTTW and WFMT Board of Trustees for 20 years and as Board Chair from 2014 to 2020. Jim and Kay Mabie have been active in many of Chicago’s important organizations including the Music Institute, Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera, Unban Gateways, Goodman Theater, and Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts), where Jim and Kay were Founding Board Members.

“Lester and I are grateful to have the opportunity to honor Jim Mabie – his contribution to our city cannot be overstated”, said Renee Crown, event Chair.

“Our lives have been enriched by the arts”, commented Jim. “I feel fortunate to be involved with public media in Chicago. May we all continue with lives that are enhanced by the arts.”
