The Wall Street Journal featured Chi-Cap's Dave Mabie in an article on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), "Bear Market Drives Billion-Dollar Wealth Firms to Tap Federal Aid".

For views on Small Business Administration (SBA) PPP loans, The Wall Street Journal turned to several money managers. "We were trying to do the right thing by returning the funds", said Mabie, referring to an SBA loan the firm returned shortly after receipt. "Once it became clear that demand for the loans out-stripped supply, it was apparent that others had a greater need. All of us at Chicago Capital believe in supporting the community.
