JIM AND KAY MABIE HONORED BY THE ARTS ALLIANCE ILLINOIS
The Arts Alliance Illinois awarded Jim & Kay Mabie its Citizen Advocate award on June 10, 2016 at the Fairmont Chicago. The Mabies were featured in a video tribute (click here to watch video).
"We are committed to the city and we think that the city is a stimulating, interesting place to be. We like to do everything we can to try and enhance that," said Jim. "The city has given us a lot in our lives and we want to give back," added Kay.
Jim's current volunteer commitments include serving on the boards of WBEZ, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera and CARA. He is the board chairman of WTTW/WFMT and founding chairman and current board member of the Chicago High School for the Arts.
Kay is chairman of the board of directors of Chicago High School for the Arts. She is also a community volunteer with the Music Institute of Chicago, Women's Association of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Goodman Theatre Women's Board.
